Job title: Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer

Location: Glasgow (Scotland)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

A fast growing and exciting Leading Scientific Engineering Company located in Glasgow (Scotland) are now hiring for a brand new Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer to join the team and business on a permanent basis.

Salary on offer:

The salary on offer for the successful Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer is £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience.

Summary of the Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering role:

The Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer will be designing, building, testing, and presenting high-quality electronic and mechatronic components or systems with substantial impact in a commercial organization. This will include hardware development: from single PCBs through to functional electro-mechanical assemblies.

Electronics Design Engineer Key Skills:

• 3-5+ years minimum years industry experience
• Experience in design, development, testing, and launch of electronics and mechatronics solutions in highly collaborative and cross-functional environments.
• Electronics Circuit Design (analogue & digital)
• Strong understanding of core electronic engineering principles such as circuit design, digital and analogue electronics, control systems
• Proficient in PCB design using Altium Designer or equivalent software
• Experience with electrical wiring and harness design
• Experience of building successful electronic and mechatronic solutions to technical problems – trailblazing design and technology as needed.
• Experience using Solidworks for design of mechanical parts and assemblies
• Experience designing integrated electro-mechanical systems
• Hardworking, enthusiastic and good team player

Nice to have skills:

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
• Embedded software programming (C/C++) experience.
• Exposure to testing/scripting with Python
• Experience in platform technology companies focused on scientific challenges a plus
• Experience with Chemistry a plus
