Senior Engineer, Development Planning

Job Description: Location: Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaType of hiring: ContractKey ObjectivesConduct studies on potential opportunities, focusing on planning and commercial aspects, to evaluate, rank, and identify promising projects, and develop optimal proposals for management review.Support the team in conducting detailed feasibility studies for selected exploration and greenfield development opportunities, collaborating with corporate functions to recommend or reject projects.Coordinate with technical and support teams to develop a feasibility study plan for the chosen opportunity.Engage and select external consultants to carry out the assigned feasibility study when necessary.Oversee, collaborate, and manage implementation activities to ensure comprehensive results from the studies.Consolidate and review study outcomes, evaluate and rank them to identify the benefits and drawbacks of proceeding with or declining the project.QualificationsBachelors degree in engineering or a related field, with an MBA or a postgraduate degree in Economics or Finance preferred.5 to 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas exploration and production.Strong leadership skills, highly motivated, and well-organised.Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
