Job Description
Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of landscape construction on assigned projects.

Review and interpret landscape architectural plans and specifications.
-
Develop and implement landscape construction sequences and schedules.
-
Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure proper installation of landscape elements.

Inspect landscape installations for quality control and conformance to specifications.
-
Resolve construction issues and discrepancies in the field.
-
Prepare and manage landscape construction budgets and estimates.
-
Communicate with architects, engineers, and clients regarding landscape progress and changes.
-
Maintain project documentation, including field reports, progress photographs, and punch lists.
-
Manage safety hazards and implement safety protocols on the construction site.

Stay informed about current trends and best practices in landscape construction.
-
Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable landscape practices for the company.

Select and procure plants and other landscape materials.
-
Develop and maintain relationships with landscape suppliers and contractors.
-
Train and mentor junior landscape architects and construction personnel.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field.
-
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in landscape construction and design.
-
Proven experience in the construction supervision of large-scale commercial, residential, or public projects.

Demonstrated expertise in landscape installation, plant selection, irrigation systems, drainage, and erosion control.
Skills and Knowledge:
-
Strong understanding of construction principles, practices, and safety procedures.

Proficient in CAD software and landscape-specific design software.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues within budget and time constraints.

Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations related to landscape construction.
-
Understanding of sustainable landscape practices and principles.
