Location
We are proud to offer a flexible approach to the location of our roles, with the majority of our team already enjoying the related benefits. We offer the flexibility to work from home or be based within our Manchester office – or a combination of both, with some travel around the UK, to client site, required.
Salary and Benefits
£50k - £75K plus a car allowance, with an annual bonus scheme of c. 10% of base salary. We also offer various other supportive benefits, including private healthcare, 34 days holiday allowance, home working allowance, and some flexible working.

About The Role
We are recruiting with a focus on the technical leadership of reliability engineering projects. As a Senior Engineering Consultant you will be joining the business at an exciting time. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our likeminded team of professionals.
As a Senior Engineering Consultant with a strong background in reliability you could be working with our consulting team on:
- Leading projects capturing and analysing engineering data in order to undertake availability, reliability and maintainability analyses.
- Modelling the whole life performance of major assets.
- Managing the technical and operational delivery of key client projects.
- Leading the production of presentable and insightful client outputs (graphs, tables, slides, written reports) which underpin our advice and benefit client outcomes
- Managing the quality assurance of deliverables.
- Running and facilitating workshops and meetings with a range of audience engagement.
- Forming relationships with clients to assist in moving work and business development forward.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of availability, reliability and maintainability analyses. And they will need the personal drive and motivation to support the delivery of our services.
Many of our clients won’t make strategic decisions on capital projects or operations without our advice; so they will need the experience, skills and gravitas to communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders.
You will have a keen interest in several of these areas;
- Availability, Reliability and Maintainability tools and analyses
- Reliability theory and practice enabling technical leadership and authority
- Data management and exploitation
- A strong interest or experience in data analysis and problem solving
- 5 years’ experience working on and heading up engineering projects
- Experience of developing or using project management and control artefacts
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercially astute
You will also have the personal qualities for clients to be comfortable with you as their principal point of contact and the ability to develop strong relationships and business with both existing and new clients.
Experience leading projects to optimise design, maintenance and performance using a range of reliability centric methodologies.
Qualifications
- Degree or Master’s or PHD in engineering, such as mechanical, materials, aerospace, physics, math’s (applied) or computer science, civil, electrical, chemical or other relevant STEM degree
