POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Environmental Design Director oversees the development of environments design and materials as well as helps to grow the acumen of Environments Designers. Must be responsible for creating and executing environments concepts based on established requirements and presenting those concepts to internal and client facing teams. Designs may integrate environments sketches, floor plans, elevations and 3-Dimensional renderings. Within the studio, the Senior Environments Designer works with Design Directors, Graphic Designers, Architects, Digital, Production Art and Project Directors to develop concepts for clients.

•Responsible for the environments or industrial design, layout and formatting of materials
•Provides direction for freelancers and graphic designers on projects
•Creates innovative environments and spatial solutions
•Responsible for preparing various presentations materials
•Must work closely and collaboratively with design team to strategically implement strong environments concepts
•Strong design skills along with verbal, written and analytical skills are critical for effectively presenting to clients
•Ability to work with a diverse group of different backgrounds
•Ability to guide teams and projects to successful completion
•Can infuse strategic thinking and latest design trends into design solutions
•Present to and create relationships with clients at appropriate levels
•Encouraging to others, self-motivated and articulate
•Able to travel for meetings and presentations
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college, University or design school in Interior or Industrial Design, Engineering or Interior Architecture
Experience:
4-8 years experience .
Special Skills/Qualifications : Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator (with CAD tools plugin), InDesign, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max (or other rendering applications) and other related computer design programs. Prior retail design or point-of-purchase experience . MUST have professional level sketching skills.
