Senior Environmental Engineer
The Group You’ll Be A Part OfThe Impact You’ll MakeAt Lam, as an EH&S Engineer, you're instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies. Ensuring compliance with regulations, you'll perform safety inspections, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste vendors and processes. Your expertise spans to life safety, workplace ergonomics, and monitoring industrial health compliance. Acting as a liaison with regulatory agencies you'll not only stay current but also reinforce Lam's commitment to safety and environmental compliance.What You’ll DoThis position is a technical individual contributor role and will interact daily with other EHS and business unit engineers and managers at manufacturing and R&D sites. As such, the position requires: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and drive results. Strong analytical skills. Good understanding of chemistries, their properties, and their hazards. Can recognize the need, and effectively escalate in the event conflict or misalignment threatens the success of a project. Good organizational and recordkeeping skills. Strong computer literacy skills including mastery knowledge of Microsoft suite (excel, word, power-point) skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and drive message on complex content, in front of peers. Self-motivated and needs little supervision. Skills in analyzing and evaluating a wide variety of technical data, test results, reports, and plans. Ability to apply EHS and regulatory knowledge to business decisions. Ability to respond to and resolve complex challenges under pressure. Exceptional root cause and corrective/preventive action development skills. Who We’re Looking For Minimum 7 years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or other related field. Master’s degree or related work experience preferred. Extensive environmental compliance experience. Deep technical environmental experience in environmental, with a strong emphasis in air, chemical and waste management Professional environmental certification preferred. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. 25-50% travelling throughout the year. Must be fluent in English. Mandarin speaking desirable.
