What You’ll Do:
Environmental Permitting & Compliance:
- Prepare, submit, and manage air permits in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct permit renewals, modifications, and reporting in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement environmental compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
Regulatory Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain records and prepare reports for regulatory agencies including Title V air permits.
- Conduct emissions calculations, impact assessments, and pollution control evaluations.
- Stay updated on environmental regulations and ensure facility compliance with evolving standards.
- Preparation of public comment packets.
Stakeholder & Agency Coordination:
- Liaise with environmental agencies, consultants, and industry groups to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Work closely with site management to implement environmental best practices and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Industrial Hygiene sampling.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
- Experience in petrochemical or refining manufacturing.
- Direct experience working with regulatory agencies.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (other technical degrees may be considered).
- 2+ years of air permitting experience.
- Emission calculation experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
This position requires legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
