As a global force their commitment to shaping the future is evident in the ground breaking projects that redefine energy production.Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead and prepare medium-to-large bids and proposals. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in calculating and preparing bid and proposal submissions for large, complex contracts, with the goal of securing contracts that yield acceptable financial returns. Known for your strong industry relationships, you will also be involved in conceptual estimating. Responsibilities: Conduct detailed analysis of contract documents for large hard bid/lump sum and construction management projects. Take ownership of medium-to-large estimates or specific work scopes within larger estimates. Identify associated risk factors and monitor addenda that may alter project scope. Assist in establishing pursuit schedules for estimates and proposals. Complete full quantity take-offs for labor, equipment, and materials. Review and validate material and construction equipment pricing. Lead pricing of general expense and project-specific requirements. Schedule and lead estimating team reviews. Assist in preparing final tender documents for submission to clients. Perform conceptual quantity takeoffs to support construction management and design-build pursuits. Lead win strategy development. Assemble and review proposal submissions, including written components. Schedule scope review meetings with key trades during bid period. Recognize and mitigate project-specific risks. Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade contractors for competitive pricing. Conduct risk and opportunity analysis for review by senior estimator and chief estimator. Coordinate with field supervisor and project management team for site logistics and execution plans. Review all work performed by estimators for quality and accountability. Prepare and deliver client presentations. Qualifications: Postsecondary diploma or degree in related discipline or trade (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical). Solar farm estimating experience (essential) Gold Seal certification in estimating (CON) is an asset. 8 years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating with 6-12 months of on-site experience preferred. Proven success in leading pursuits valued up to $150 million in various delivery models. Proficiency in using estimating software and tools. Strong understanding of construction methods, planning, scheduling, and sequencing. Excellent mathematical acumen and ability to conduct detailed quantity takeoffs. Familiarity with industry-standard estimating manuals and systems. Knowledge of different bid processes and contract delivery methods. Experience with self-perform work disciplines is a plus.
