Are you an experienced Estimator looking to progress your career?

Our client are looking for a motivated individual to join a successful Property Services Contractor based in London, to take ownership of the Estimating process and ensure accuracy of cost estimates to meet or exceed the company’s business plan targets.

You Will Have

Minimum of 5 years’ experience of Estimating in the Construction industry, excellent knowledge of the Estimating process and be competent in the use of Estimating software such as Conquest, Cubit and Estimation. In addition, you will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines and have experience in mentoring/training/coaching.

This is an exciting role with overall responsibility and accountability for the estimating function within the Group, giving the opportunity to utilise your expertise, whilst developing and nurturing relationships with external partners.

Key Experience

• 5 years’ experience of estimating for a main contractor in the construction industry
• Able to work on own initiative.
• Experience of managing and prioritising own workload and that of others, whilst working under pressure
• Experience of managing and coordinating the work of others
• Previous experience of running an estimating department
• Experience of working in the social housing sector
• Experience of Maintenance Contracts
• Previous experience of managing people, including probation and appraisal processes and techniques

Construction Knowledge Desired:

• Design and Build
• Schedules of Rates
• Spec and Drawings
• Bills of Quantities
• Frameworks
• Computerized Estimating Packages
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Packages - Excel, Word etc
• NHF S.O.R
• NSR S.O.R

Qualifications:

• HNC/HND in a construction related subject (desirable)
• The post holder must hold a full clean driving license
• The post holder must possess a minimum of grade C in Mathematics and English or equivalent qualification
• Building related degree
• MCIOB
• RICS
• ARICS
