Senior Estimator

Wood is looking for a Senior Estimator to join the Minerals & Metals team in Vancouver. This is a contract position and will be on an as needed basis. This position will report to the Director of Project Controls and has overall responsibility for directing the estimating effort for large industrial projects from conceptual design through planning and construction.This is a contract position and will be on an as needed basis. Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable experience, education, and the specific skill set and qualifications required for the role. A minimum of 10 years experience in estimating and leading capital cost estimates for mining or heavy industrial projects in an EPC/EPCM setting Previous lead estimator experience on mining projects and field experience is preferred Demonstrated experience with estimating costs for international projects Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven capability in delivering presentations to senior management Effective organizational skills, strong work ethic and leadership skills Demonstrated skill and ability to identify and solve problems in a prompt and decisive manner Sound knowledge of construction processes Knowledge of the AACEI estimate classifications and guidelines An engineering degree or engineering technologist diploma will be considered an asset Experience in mining and estimating heavy civil works would be considered to be an asset Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required undefined
