Keep reading - this could be the ideal next step for you!\n\nAn established construction company based north of Watford just outside the M25, recognised for its expertise in groundworks, reinforced concrete frames, civil engineering, and demolition is looking to take on a dynamic Senior Estimator. \n\nAs the Senior Estimator you will be expected to:\n\nReview and analyse project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to generate thorough cost estimates.\nCreate comprehensive cost estimates for all phases of construction projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.\nRecognise potential risks and challenges within the project and factor them into the cost estimation process.\nKeep comprehensive records of estimates, contracts, and other relevant documents for future reference and accountability.\nStay informed about industry trends, market shifts, and competitor pricing to ensure our estimates remain competitive and up-to-date.\nPrepare and submit competitive bids and tenders, adhering to company standards and meeting client specifications.\nSuggest cost-saving strategies and value engineering options that maintain high quality and safety standards.\nCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to gather necessary information for precise cost estimations.\nCommunicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure the company receives the best possible value.\nTrack and manage project budgets, providing regular updates to ensure projects stay within financial limits.What you will receive:\n\nA competitive salary and accompanying package \nA positive working environment \nThe opportunity to grow with a growing business \nA clear progression path onto the next stage in your careerWhat the ideal candidate will have:\n\nA degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying \nAbility to show previous experience gained in working on infrastructure projects \nGreat verbal and written communication skills \nA full UK driving license If you feel this opportunity is something you want to put yourself forward to then please do not hesitate to apply!\n\nAldwych Consulting values and promotes equality.
