We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Job Description:
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial construction methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities in the estimating process.
- Maintain a database of historical cost data and unit prices.
- Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and changes in commercial construction methods and materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on commercial construction.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are a plus.
