
SENIOR FIELD MECHANICAL ENGINEER
The Senior Field Mechanical Engineer willoversee mechanical field engineering activities on a significantonshore oil and gas project in Abu Dhabi. The role involvessupervising the installation testing and commissioning ofmechanical systems and ensuring they meet project specificationsindustry standards and ADNOC requirements. Extensive experience infield engineering roles on ADNOC onshore or other major MiddleEastern oil and gas projects is essential.
JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage field mechanical engineering activitiesincluding installation testing and commissioning of mechanicalsystems such as piping pumps compressors turbines and static androtating equipment.
- Ensure all mechanicalsystems and equipment are installed in line with projectspecifications ADNOC standards and regulatoryrequirements.
- Provide technical guidance andquality control for contractors and subcontractors to ensure safetycompliance and highquality installations.
- Conduct troubleshooting and inspections for mechanicalsystems verifying operational performance and resolving technicalissues onsite.
- Review and approve engineeringdrawings piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) andtechnical documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment withproject objectives.
- Coordinate withmultidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems effectivelywithin the project scope.
- Conduct siteinspections safety audits and quality assessments to monitorprogress and compliance with HSE regulations.
- Interface with client representatives and projectstakeholders providing technical support and ensuring alignmentwith project timelines and objectives.
- Preparedetailed field reports including test results inspection recordsand documentation of project progress.
- Supportproject planning scheduling and resource allocation to ensureefficient and timely completion of mechanical tasks.
KEYQUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relatedfield.
- 1015 years of field mechanicalengineering experience with at least 5 years on ADNOC Onshoreprojects or other major oil and gas projects in the MiddleEast.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systemsused in the oil and gas industry including piping valves pumpscompressors turbines and both static and rotatingequipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting andproblemsolving skills with experience in testing commissioning andmaintenance of mechanical installations.
- Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs technicaldrawings and engineering specifications.
- Familiarity with industry standards (API ASME) and ADNOCregulations related to mechanical systems in oil and gasprojects.
- Effective communication andleadership skills with experience coordinating with clientrepresentatives and crossfunctional teams.
- Relevant certifications in mechanical engineering orproject management are an advantage.
