Senior Geotechnical Engineer

ABOUT THE POSITION. This position involves an established Senior Geotechnical Engineer who has strong site experience working on earthworks projects. They will be supervising a team of juniors, contractors and managing geotechnical investigations as well as providing expert advice throughout the construction phase. DUTIES. Provide pavement, plate load, foundation & crane pad designs Undertake geotechnical testing and sampling Produce Geotechnical desk studies, reports and assessments Train and mentor, a team of Junior Geotechnical Engineers Liaise with the broader team and key stakeholders for project delivery Administer site classification and geological mapping Manage in-situ testing including Dynamic Cone Penetrometer, Plate Load Testing and Standard Penetrometer Testing SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. Proven local experience working on earthwork projects Relevant degree qualification Excellent verbal and written communication Full Australian driver's license required CULTURE.
