Typically, individuals in this position take on a controlling technical role for a single discipline on smaller and/or less complex tasks or specific elements within larger projects. They may also undertake a Task Management Role in alignment with Arcadis Task Manager Academy competence requirements. Additionally, the responsibilities include coordinating and managing small teams of engineers and technicians within their own discipline. The overarching goal is to ensure maximum satisfaction among internal stakeholders by championing care and proactively collaborating with them throughout the project.Role accountabilities: Apply Arcadis Health and Safety Principles during work planning and delivery. Perform role according to the Arcadis behavioral framework. Support the management of performance and behaviors of more junior staff. Promote the business culture within the organization. Work in collaboration with other design disciplines, applying engineering management solutions to ensure overall design integrity. Agree and implement task delivery approaches in collaboration with Arcadis regional office colleagues. Manage selected tasks, taking responsibility for resource allocation and successful delivery. Provide management and technical advice to junior project team members. Work alongside team leadership and operate at a level consistent with a senior engineering professional. When appointed as a Task Manager, take responsibility for assisting with budget preparation, monitoring progress, identifying out-of-scope works, and forecasting as appropriate. When appointed as a Task Manager, drive task performance, service delivery, and technical and commercial outcomes, undertaking reviews to ensure delivery exceeds expectations. When appointed as a Task Manager, communicate with team members to ensure understanding and engagement with the delivery strategy, brief, and project requirements. Additionally, manage the acquisition, deployment, and management of resources for optimal resource allocation. Qualifications & Experience: Provide leadership and technical guidance to junior team members. Identify personal knowledge and skill limits. Exercise sound independent engineering judgment and take responsibility for delivery outcomes. Demonstrate appropriate professional standards, recognizing obligations to society, the profession, and the environment. Exercise responsibilities in an ethical manner. Communicate effectively with others at all levels, both orally and in writing. Discuss ideas and plan competently and confidently. Possess effective personal and social skills. Manage diversity issues. Deliver compliance with Arcadis management system requirements, supporting design and engineering projects. Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent and formally licensed to act as a professional engineer (if required in their Arcadis GEC country). Possess 5-10 years of relevant professional experience
