Senior Geotechnical Engineer\n\nI'm currently working with a global offshore geoscience and geotechnical engineering consultancy, with a robust project pipeline in the offshore renewable energy sector across regions such as the North Sea, Baltic Sea, Mediterranean, USA and Asia. We are looking for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Newcastle office in a senior leadership capacity. In this role, you would manage multidisciplinary teams and oversee projects from technical, financial, and administrative perspectives.

\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Team Leadership:\nManage and mentor teams comprising geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists, geophysicists, and GIS specialists.\n* Project Management:\nOversee project execution, including budgeting, resource allocation, client liaison, and quality assurance, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.\n* Technical Delivery:\nDevelop and implement geotechnical design methodologies for offshore foundations, cable systems, and other infrastructure elements.\nApply advanced numerical modelling techniques (e.g., FLAC or PLAXIS) to solve complex soil-structure interaction challenges.\n* Reporting and Documentation:\nPrepare detailed technical documentation, including Basis of Design, Ground Investigation Reports (GIR), and Geotechnical Design Reports (GDR).\n* Client Engagement:\nRepresent the company at client meetings, industry conferences, and workshops, contributing to business development and research initiatives.\n\nIf you like the sound of the position on offer, please contact Alex at Calibre Search Manchester - (phone number removed).\n\nCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their , , , /beliefs, or .
