SENIOR GIS TECHNICIAN CONTRACTOR POSITION

we-do-IT Inc. (WDI) provides geospatial and data services for electric, gas, water and telecommunications utilities. Our team has deep expertise in the design, construct and maintenance workflows that a Utility utilizes to deliver safe and reliable energy to its customers.We are looking for a motivated GIS professional for a 1-year contract with potential for full-time conversion. This role requires relocation to a client's regional office, preferably Dallas, TX, or one of the following locations: Lubbock, TX, Denver, CO, Franklin, TN, New Orleans, LA, or Jackson, MS.

COMPENSATION
Pay Range: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour ($58,240 to $70,720 annually)
Bonuses: Annual bonus based on personal and company performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates presentations and workflow diagrams for GIS processes and results
Supports and troubleshoot business users with GIS Applications
Develops project plans in collaboration with other stakeholders
Effectively communicates related GIS initiatives to other stakeholders
Consults with end users to create documentation relating to the program definition, development, business requirements.
Analysis of test results, formulates modifications, and implements solutions to problem areas
Prepares and writes reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process.
Trains end users to operate new or modified programs.
Conducts research on emerging application development software products, , and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
Works with external vendors to ensure efficient implementation of software products or
systems.
Keeps abreast of new and changing technological advances in program , utilities, tools and client/server technology to ensure achievement of optimum results.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Bachelors degree in GIS or related field and five years related experience performing complex geospatial analysis and providing mapping solutions in the Gas Utilities or Energy Sector Certified GISP .
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical or other complex concepts to individuals with little or no experience or knowledge of the technical area.
NUMERIC SKILLS:
Requires the ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric, and geometric operations, analyses involving ratios, percentages and moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Requires a very high level of computer skills to use and/or understand various programming for writing, modifying, and executing programs. Expertise in GE Smallworld/ Gas Distribution Office, Esri Utility Pipeline Database Model (UPDM), Utility Network (UN), Esri ArcPro, Esri Enterprise, Portal, ArcGIS Online, Esri Web AppBuilder, Esri Field Operation and Mobile Applications, SQL Server SAP Experience Construction Management Application experience
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Available to work across US time zones as needed.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
