Job Title: Senior Laboratory Scientist
Overview:
Psomagen is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Laboratory Scientist with a strong background in genomic sequencing to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing client samples, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and providing critical insights. This role also entails the development and testing of new workflow processes and maintaining meticulous records of experimental results. Additionally, the Lead Laboratory Scientist will occasionally provide technical consultation to clients in collaboration with our sales team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-throughput genomic sequencing experiments, including sample preparation, sequencing, and data analysis.
- Develop and validate new laboratory workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to implement cutting-edge sequencing technologies and methodologies.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team for client consultations and discussions.
- Ensure rigorous quality control and validation procedures are followed to maintain the highest standards of data integrity.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and compile comprehensive reports for internal review and client delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of genomics and sequencing technology trends to inform laboratory practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the experimental process.
- Train and supervise junior laboratory staff to ensure adherence to laboratory protocols.
- Manage laboratory resources, including equipment maintenance and supply inventory.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in molecular biology laboratory setting.
- Proven expertise in next- sequencing (NGS) technologies and bioinformatics tools.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software relevant to genomics.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical consulting and collaborative research purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in developing and optimizing laboratory workflows.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Skills:
- Hands-on experience with 10X Genomics single cell analysis workflow
- Publication record demonstrating expertise in genomics or related fields.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English
