We are seeking a senior architect to join our Architecture & Interiors discipline in our Denver office. The most successful candidates can deliver design excellence, attention to detail, organization and time management skills, and potential to grow into leadership roles over time. Not every designer needs to deliver on all of these attributes at once, but this is the mix of talent we seek. As a senior architect, you will be responsible for the coordination of project team effort and external local relationships with clients and sub consultants for a wide range of project types for both the private and public sectors, including college and university campuses, urban/mixed use districts, corporate workplaces, and commercial development. While it is not required to be an expert in all of these market typologies, it will be a core responsibility to be able to represent Sasaki to potential clients in these multiple markets and connect to other leaders who can bring necessary expertise and project knowledge.
The senior Architect/Designer will collaborate with a range of teams to lead efforts in research, writing, client relationships and design projects both domestically and internationally. Applicants should have a strong design and communications skills, both verbal and written, in addition to having experience with and/or excited about business development including preliminary meetings with prospective clients, attending industry events, connecting with new sub consultants and contractors and helping to develop proposals. Applicants should have excellent time management skills and should be able to balance multiple projects at a time while guiding internal teams of various sizes on a day-by-day basis.
Sasaki is headquartered in Boston with smaller offices in New York, Shanghai, Denver, and Los Angeles. This position is based in Denver and requires at least three days a week face-to-face in our downtown studio, with robust support for hybrid work.
Experience and Education:
· A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program
· Minimum 8+ years of experience
· Licensure a plus
· High-level proficiency in Revit
· Knowledge of design programs: Rhino, Adobe Suite
