Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 per annum



Hours: Full-time, Rotational Shift Pattern (5am – 1pm/ 12 – 8pm)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our clients maintenance team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all site equipment and machinery while adhering to health and safety regulations.



What you’ll do:



As the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all capital equipment, focusing on maximizing uptime and compliance with safety standards.



* Supervise and direct subcontractors assigned to the maintenance team as required.



* Develop and implement Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules for key capital equipment.



* Control and communicate maintenance expenditure in line with expectations and ensure proper purchase order processes are followed.



* Maintain a high level of reactive response to unplanned breakdowns and ensure critical maintenance spares are in stock to minimize downtime.



* Collaborate with the Compliance Officer to complete all health and safety documentation in line with policy and legislation.



* Support the Mill Manager in completing mandatory health and safety inspections.



* Report any health and safety issues through the appropriate communication channels.



* Maintain the maintenance department's housekeeping to the highest 5S standards.



* Actively participate in and support process improvement initiatives.



* Maintain all mandatory training qualifications related to the specific job role, including for subordinates.

* IT skills relevant to the role and support for health and safety compliance management.
