Senior Maintenance Engineer (Base in Kota Damansara)

Key Responsibilities: Facility and Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of Company all assets’ systems. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working order. Coordinate and supervise repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Team Management: Lead, train, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and other staff. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. Vendor and Contractor Management: Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks. Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and ensure that work is completed within agreed timelines and quality standards. Review and approve invoices related to maintenance activities. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance reports. Budget Management: Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting costs for repairs, replacements, and upgrades. Monitor expenditures and seek cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality. Report on budget performance and identify areas for cost savings. Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and supplies necessary for maintenance activities. Ensure that critical spare parts are available and reordering is done in a timely manner. Optimize inventory levels to reduce costs and prevent downtime. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and implementing best practices. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in maintenance management. Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable maintenance practices where applicable. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate the resolution of issues. Develop and implement contingency plans for critical system failures or other emergencies. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field preferred. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in maintenance management, with a proven track record in supervising teams and managing facilities. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, etc.) and maintenance procedures. Leadership: Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex maintenance issues. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance management. Work Environment: May require working in various settings, including office environments, mechanical rooms, and outdoor facilities. Must be able to respond to emergency situations and work outside of regular business hours if needed. Requires physical stamina to inspect equipment, access difficult areas, and perform hands-on maintenance tasks.
