Our client is a family owned contracting business working within the residential new build sectors throughout Essex and Suffolk. Our client has a strong reputation for delivering projects on time and within budget. They take on new build traditional developments, blocks of flats and nursing homes.



You will be joining a fast-moving and highly experienced team to complete large scale projects of high value and complexity. Experience of design and build is highly desired as the projects vary tremendously. You will be given the opportunity for continual challenge and growth. The opportunity to progress to commercial manager level is available to the right candidate.



What you will be doing:



* Have a good understanding of traditional building methods and design & build.



* Be confident in dealing directly with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Clients and Subcontractors.



* Manage multiple projects



* Be able to keep a tight control on potentially high numbers of variations on a large number of on-going projects, assisting site managers and contracts managers in recording all variations, pricing them and accurately recording their effect on final accounts and ensure that AIs are received for all variations



* Take a lead in the calculation and preparation of all company valuations and final accounts.



* Prepare and present monthly job cost analysis data.



* Analyse current methods and procedures and develop improved methods of working.



* Assume full control of subcontract orders, applications and assist with subcontract enquiries and management. Overall responsibility for ensuring that all subcontract/supplier orders placed are within budget.



Experience:



* HNC / Degree Qualified



* Ideally have good contracting and residential developer experience



* Steady work history



* Excellent communicator



* Good JCT and Design & Build knowledge



* Be confident in dealing directly with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Clients and Subcontractors
