Role Overview:

The Senior Marine Operations Engineer will be part of the Naval and Marine Operations Team in Basingstoke, UK, supporting Eni's worldwide projects. This role involves providing technical leadership in the naval and marine operation discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the follow-up, engineering review, and monitoring of ongoing projects involving floating LNG facilities, FPSO, fixed platforms, pipelines, umbilicals, flexible lines, and subsea structures.
  • Prepare T&I Scope of Works, Technical Specifications for installation and pre-commissioning, External Interface and Responsibility Matrix, and Installation Schedules for fixed platforms, sealines, umbilicals, floaters, and subsea structures.
  • Identify marine spread minimum requirements for safe offshore installation and prepare installation outline procedures for T&I Tenderers for technical and commercial quotations.
  • Monitor, review, and follow-up on execution projects related to installation engineering.
  • Support the Company during Technical Clarification meetings, projects HAZID, Offshore Site Queries, and Management of Change offshore.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Strong expertise in offshore installation engineering, particularly in the design and follow-up of installation engineering documentation (load-out, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning, and hook-up of fixed platforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, subsea structures, and floaters like FPSO, FLNG, etc.).
  • High-level knowledge of technologies, vessels, and equipment used for loading, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning, and hook-up of subsea and offshore structures.
  • Significant experience in preparing and reviewing T&I ITT packages, managing technical clarifications with installation bidders, and preparing Tender Bidder Evaluations.
  • Knowledge of offshore installation international rules (DNV, IMCA, etc.) applicable to offshore structures installation.
  • Experience in FEED and EPCI for T&I projects, with the ability to interface across disciplines such as naval, structural, construction, and commissioning.
  • Seagoing experience as an Installation Contractor Project Operation Engineer and/or Company Representative for the offshore installation and pre-commissioning of fixed platforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, FPSO, FLNG, and subsea structures.
  • Experience in yard preparation for installation, mechanical completion, and load-out of offshore structures.
  • HAZID experience and active participation in project reviews.
  • OPITO certification for offshore travel would be preferable.
