Skills:
Expertise in electrical, ocean, or mechanical engineering, acoustics, or a related field
Subject matter expertise in digital communications, maritime hardware design, robotics, and acoustic signal processing
Experience with marine hardware design including sensor arrays and low power embedded processors
Strong project leadership and proposal writing skills
Exceptional written and oral communication abilities
Expert Matlab programming skills
Experience with C/C++ and Linux programming
Responsibilities:
Design and Develop: Innovate and develop maritime systems (50%)
Lead Initiatives: Lead project initiatives and teams (25%)
Proposal Writing: Engage in proposal writing, marketing, and new business captures (25%)
Qualifications:
BS, MS, or PhD in electrical, ocean, or mechanical engineering, acoustics, or a related field
Proven experience with marine hardware or system design
Experience leading proposals and new business captures
Working knowledge of digital and analog circuits
Proven track record of exceptional communication and leadership skills
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical, ocean, mechanical engineering, acoustics, or a related field
Experience Requirements:
Several years of experience in developing and/or designing sonar and/or communication systems
Experience with project leadership in R&D for DARPA, ONR, NAVSEA, or similar DoD customers
Proven experience in fielding systems and conducting prototype demonstrations
