Senior Mechanical Design Engineer needed for an innovative Scientific Equipment Manufacturer in the Berkshire area.\nMy client are a profitable and respected company supplying Scientific equipment to the Engineering, Research and Academic sectors.\nThey are looking for a Senior Engineer to help take new product designs through the concept and design stage and into production.\nTypical Duties will include:\nConcept agreement with Optical and other discipline leaders\nMechanical design of intricate mechanisms for optical alignment and instrumentation equipment.\nCAD Design Drawings (for Manufacturing / build purposes)\nNPI - integration to planning, Use of MRP / ERP systems alongside communication with production team.\nTechical leadership and supervision of graduate / junior engineers\nYou will likely come from a Mechanical Engineering / Electro-mech background with an awareness of mechanism design using a variety of precise manufacturing techniques.
