An established engineering design consultancy is seeking a highly qualified Senior Mechanical Services Engineer to join their team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse array of projects, including office fit-outs, laboratories, industrial and logistics facilities, data centres, historic and public buildings, refurbishments, new builds, plant replacements, feasibility studies, sustainability initiatives, and technical due diligence tasks.



Key Responsibilities:

 

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of responsibilities, including:



Mechanical Building Services Design:

Delivering comprehensive mechanical design solutions for a range of building types and projects.

Client Management:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.

Surveys:

Conducting detailed site surveys to inform design and project decisions.

Investigations and Report Writing:

Performing technical investigations and producing clear, concise reports.

Specifications and Tender Documents:

Preparing detailed specifications and tender documents for various projects.

Project Management:

Leading projects from inception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Cost Control:

Overseeing project costs to ensure financial objectives are achieved.

Presentations & Bids:

Preparing and delivering presentations, as well as compiling bids for potential projects.

 

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a high-performing engineer who is either ready to step up to a senior role or is already operating at this level.

 

The ideal candidate will have:



A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent high technical qualifications.

Experience working towards or having already achieved chartership is .

Hands-on practical experience in the field is advantageous.

Strong technical expertise, particularly in the use of REVIT/CAD software and proficiency in lighting and electrical calculation tools.

Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting with professionals at all levels.

A proactive, diligent approach with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Flexibility to travel when required. Opportunities and Growth:
