We take pride in their work and take great pleasure in seeing projects through from start to finish with success.Your mission during this flight:As Senior Mechanical Engineer - Propulsion, you will be responsible for all structural topics in propulsion unit (structural design, stress etc.), testing (durability, static strength, wind tunnel etc.) and compliance demonstration on structural topics. This includes test activities such as defining test strategy, test bench selection, test plan and report preparation; and analysis activities such as fatigue, damage tolerance and static strength.QualificationsCheck in your professional skills:Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering ( / preferred)Minimum 4+ years of professional experience as a mechanical design engineer designing, performing initial structural analysis and validations of composite and metallic structures, plus other additional work experienceExperience in structural analysis with FEM simulation tools and hand calculationExperience in certifying/verifying aerospace structures, preferably in propulsion unitsExperience with PLM Software, ideally Siemens Teamcenter Knowledge of static, fatigue, thermal and vibration analysis in structures Hands-on experience on test activities to define test parameters, loading etc. and to prepare relevant documentationPossessing a highly motivated and proactive attitude in the workplace.Autonomous work style with a high level of self-relianceFluent English language skills are essential, German or any other language is beneficialBonus skills:Experience in working with aerospace standards and development processes as CS23/CS27/SC-VTOL/DO-160G/EHPSExperience in using HyperMesh, Nastran, OptiStruct.Experience in software related project management ( Jira).Basic knowledge in working with CAD Software, ideally Siemens NX Additional InformationOur Volocopter flight includes: Fast-growing high-tech company with a superb network of investors and partners Chance to shape the future of aviation Help us to create groundbreaking new projects - from scratch!
