SENIOR PAYMENT OPERATIONS MANAGER – HARTFORD, CT
Our client, a leader in consumer loyalty solutions, seeks a Senior Payment Operations Manager. This position is responsible for managing the payment processing functions of their Loyalty business, which includes consulting with clients who manage their own billing to maximize acceptance rates, as well as manage the merchant processing functions for clients who allow them to bill their customers. This person will also provide the reporting and management required to internal business leaders, clients and any other parties who require information.
The Senior Payment Operations Manager will act as a strategic consultant while diving into detail to ensure the company and clients maximize credit card acceptance rates while remaining compliant with all payment processing rules and regulations.
Responsibilities of the Senior Payment Operations Manager
• Monitor and report on payments KPIs for a subscription, ecommerce company. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement testing strategies to increase revenue and improve customer LTV.
• Research third party providers and industry trends. Spearhead the implementation of solutions that can improve authorization rates, reduce fraud and chargebacks, and reduce payments costs, while ensuring seamless transaction experiences for merchants.
• Function as primary point of contact for all payments vendors, including acquirers and fraud/chargeback solution providers.
• Function as business owner for all technical implementations that are related to billing systems.
• Participate in the planning and development of new client implementations that pertain to payments.
• Understand processor requirements and translate these into business requirements.
• Collaborate closely with external clients who manage their own merchant processing relationships.
• Serve as a key resource and consultant to these partners, providing expert guidance to enhance their payment acceptance processes.
Qualifications of the Senior Payment Operations Manager
• Experience with card-not-present, recurring payment processing.
• Experience with payment industry research and multiple processor relationships
• Experience in Chargeback mitigation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and works well with both internal and external stakeholders/clients.
• Experience in managing a small team.
• Able to learn new things quickly and implement them efficiently, within a tight timeframe.
• Must be a self-starter and capable of multi-tasking with strong analytical, operational, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
