Senior Piping Engineer
SummaryThe Senior Piping Engineer is responsible for piping designs, GA drawings, piping studies, and coordinating with other engineers, designers, and project engineers/managers to facilitate on time and on budget engineering deliverables for Enerflex projects.Principle Responsibilities and Duties Preparing equipment layouts, piping GA drawings. Perform Piping Study & 3D Modeling in primarily CAD Worx, with some PDMS/E3D. Prepare and review inputs required for bids and proposals. Detailed drawings for Pipe supports, Isometric drawing, for Skid and Balance of Plant (BOP) as needed. Issue engineering drawings for Inter Discipline Check (IDC) and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to close any technical issues. Ability to check and liaise with 3rd party engineering companies that execute work for Enerflex. Extracting of piping deliverables such as Isometrics, Nozzle orientations drawing (NOD), and Piping GAD MTO through CAD Worx or other drawing software. Perform related duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor. Data consistency check and as well as resolving the clash and ensure the model is clash free. Analyzes the effect of proposed changes for proper form, fit and function; recommends solutions regarding cost saving design practices and procedures as related to the project; modifies drawings and model as required; confers with engineers to resolve issues and offers alternate solutions Meets all deadlines as required by project schedule and assists other Designers to meet their deadlines Prepare and review As-built drawings. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at a time. Coordination with other Engineering Discipline Engineers and Designers Qualifications Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent in mechanical or Computer Aided Design technology and at least ten (10) years in designing and detail engineering of piping systems for oil and gas facilities and/or modules. Strong preference for previous oil & gas experience with gas processing engineering and design. Strong self starter skills and ability to perform successfully with limited supervision. Ability to manage complex technical requirements and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery of engineering deliverables (on time, within budget) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work closely in a team environment with all internal / external stakeholders Entrepreneurial attitude, aptitude for innovation and long-term career interests.
