Senior Piping Engineer

Superior Recruitment Group are working with a key client who are looking for an Senior Piping Engineer to join their team.



This Senior Piping Engineer role will be on an Ad-hoc basis for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, and will be to assist with originating and checking engineering documents as and when required and during holiday cover.



Responsibilities will include:

• Leading the design, analysis, and development of piping systems for energy

projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations projects.

• Perform advanced pipe stress analysis and support design using industry-standard software.

• Review and approve piping specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.

• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to piping engineers.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and quality standards in piping designs.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate piping systems with overall project layouts.

• Conduct site assessments and support construction teams during piping installation.

• Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, and risk assessments.

• Collaborate with procurement teams to develop material specifications and technical requisitions.

• Provide technical support during the commissioning and start-up phases of piping systems.



Qualifications/Experience required:

• Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering.

Essential: Extensive experience in piping engineering within

the energy sector.

• Desirable: Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.



Job Specific Knowledge:

• Essential: In-depth knowledge of piping design codes (e.g.,

ASME, ANSI), standards, and practices.

• Essential: Expertise in piping stress analysis and support design

software.

• Desirable: Experience with offshore and onshore piping

systems in energy projects.
