Senior Planner
Job Description
Global E&C have a requirement for a Senior Planner to join us on a staff basis.
We are looking for a dedicated and driven individual with strong planning experience in modifications and projects. This position will work closely with the Planning Function Lead, to provide critical project planning services across our asset integrity, modifications and modular service lines. You will work across our portfolio with many stakeholders in several of our Aberdeen city office locations. This role has excellent development opportunities, and we are seeking an individual who is looking to become a key member of the team and is excited by the prospect of helping develop the planning function to support our business growth.
Your key duties will include:
- Attending all planning meetings within the contract ensuring meeting quality and effectiveness is maintained.
- Development of WBS, baselines, schedules, and the regular monitoring of such.
- Identification and reporting of planning risk and supporting the management of change, growth, and variation.
- Production of regular planning reports in line with business and client requirements.
- Analysis of schedule attainment, SPI/CPI, resource levels, critical paths, float, and other metrics as required.
- Providing support/training to other members of the planning and project functions.
- Compliance with planning procedures and templates and will support the periodic audit work to ensure consistency of application use.
- Expectation to be fully conversant with Global E&C applications, IGRIS, Insights, Power BI etc.
To be successful in this role you will ideally be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience in planning role, ideally within modifications.
- Strong working knowledge of project controls theory and practices.
- HNC or higher qualifications preferred.
- Primavera experience critical.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, diligence, and self-discipline.
