Position Overview:

The Senior Plant Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our plastic manufacturing plant. This individual will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing safety protocols, and optimizing production efficiency while managing the plant’s P&L. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing medium to large-sized plastic manufacturing plant and demonstrate a proven ability to develop a robust organizational culture focused on performance, safety, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Culture:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers and employees.
  • Foster a strong organizational culture emphasizing continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee all plant operations, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Implement and manage Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, utilizing Six Sigma methodologies to enhance production processes and reduce waste.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of injection and blow molding PET machines, optimizing production schedules and resource allocation.

Safety Management:

  • Champion workplace safety to cultivate an exemplary safety culture, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, training, and drills to maintain a proactive safety environment.

Financial Management:

  • Understand and manage plant P&L, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs without compromising quality or safety.
  • Analyze financial data to develop actionable insights for plant performance and operational efficiency.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with the company’s growth goals.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on plant performance, providing insights for continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA ).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in plant management within the plastic manufacturing industry, specifically in injection and blow molding processes.
  • Proven experience managing a facility with 250+ employees or larger, including experience with CI and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong track record of creating and maintaining an excellent safety culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and manage P&L, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
