Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.For our location in Strykow, Poland, we are looking for a Senior Process Development Engineer (m/f/d) Be a technical lead in cross functional project teams with objective to prototype, develop, test and release new products and processes to optical connectivity manufacturing floor. Build fundamental, scientific understanding in order to resolve technical problems and drive innovation. Responsibilities Design, development and implementation of new connectivity products (from concept, through prototyping and validation to introduction in production environment) Proposing and introducing innovations and new technologies to existing products and manufacturing processes Building fundamental understanding through the use of the Scientific Method and tools such as KT, DoE, Statistical Process Analysis, Six Sigma etc. Researching new raw materials and developing new processing Study new trends in fiber optic technologies Documenting new ideas for potential patent submissions Work in international, multidisciplinary project groups Requirements Technical Bachelor or Master Degree (preferred in: mechanical engineering, physics, electronics, material engineering or similar) Good technical skills (building prototypes, troubleshooting test cases, preparing samples) Good analytical and problem solving skills Creativity and passion for innovation Ability to communicate effectively within multi-national groups Fluent English and Polish (written and spoken)
