We are now recruiting suitable candidate for Ecospace, the first and only integrated facility (CWTF) in Hong Kong to treat hazardous waste and infectious (medical) waste, in operation since 1993 at Tsing Yi. The CWTF operates under ISO 9001 and 14001 certification and stringent regulatory and contractual requirements and conditions.Job DescriptionAnalyze and optimize hazardous waste treatment process including incineration, physical chemical treatment, oily water treatment and wastewater treatment systems for efficiency and cos-effectivenessIdentify areas for improvement and implement process modifications as neededEnsure strict adherence gto environmental regulations related to hazardous waste, emissions, discharges and worker safetyCoordinate with regulatory agencies, prepare reports, and facilitate inspectionsParticipate/Lead projects for facility upgrades, process improvements, and new technology implementationsDevelop project plans, timelines and budget for timely and cost-effective executionCoordinate with other departments and allocate resources effectivelySupervise and mentor the team members, providing technical guidanceEncourage a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solvingImplement and maintain effective safety management systems, conduct audits and risk assessments.QualificationsDegree or above in Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical/Engineering or related discipline is preferred8 years' chemical plant, process plant operations or related experiencesKnowledge in wastewater treatment, incineration or boiler will be an advantageCerified water tube boiler operator or with forklfit license is a plusHolder of First Aid Cerificate preferredAgile, self-motivated and a good team playerEmbrace a hands-on approach and think outside the box to drive process improvement and innovative solutionsFluent in verbal and written English, spoken Cantonese is a plusAdditional InformationAs an inclusive company, Veolia is committed to diversity and gives equal consideration to all applications, without discrimination.Veolia Holding Hong Kong Limited is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all qualified candidates.
