Senior Procurement Category Manager
Job Description
Looking for an experienced Category Procurement Manager to work for a high profile company in Reading that offers \n\ngreat benefits to include a bonus scheme and generous holiday allowance of up to 35 days plus bank holidays.\n\nThe role will develop appropriate commercial strategies and approaches to optimise value-for-money and minimise supplier-related risk. The Category Manager will own, develop & deliver sourcing events (both traditional & e-sourcing) which will fully align with the Corporate Procurement Policy.\n\nYou will lead the business in agreeing and delivering clear and compelling sub-category strategies which fully support the company's strategic objectives and understand the Value Chain and challenge materials, specifications, sources of supply etc. to deliver value improvements.\n\nExperience needed\n\nA procurement background of working within construction or telecoms infrastructure\nHands-on category management, negotiating and presentational skills.\nRFP/Sourcing Event management.
