About the Role:

This role is based at a facility within the Lyondell plant near Channelview, TX, where the unit produces an intermediate chemical used in jet/aviation fuel. The team comprises 9 members, including one other chemical engineer, and operates in a continuous process environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, thrives in a multi-functional role encompassing production support, process optimization, safety oversight, and leadership responsibilities. While there is limited room for upward mobility, this position is pivotal as it often serves as the acting plant manager and maintains a strong leadership presence on-site.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• 10+ years of chemical manufacturing experience, preferably in continuous processing environments at PSM-regulated facilities
• Houston, TX based candidates ONLY
