NexGen Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Senior Production Engineer to join a well established, global brand specialising within the Motorsport sector.\n\nHours of work: Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm / Friday: 7:30am - 3:30pm\n\nJob Description:\n\nOur client are seeking a motivated individual to join our Manufacturing Team as a Senior Production Engineer.\n\nThe Role:\n\n * Design/develop and implement new production methods/jigs/fixtures to support the NPI process.\n\n * Create CNC programs for 3, 4 & 5 axis and mill-turn machines via NX CAM & Vericut.\n\n * Manage the effective release of new products into Production.\n\n * Implement new cutting technologies to improve existing production methods.\n\n * Produce and maintain associated documentation such as Process Instructions, Test Instructions & BOM contents for all product builds.\n\n * Assist with the implementation of staff training programs.\n\n * Manage cost containments.\n\n * Estimating production times & costs.\n\n * Checking BOM’s for structure & content.\n\n * Work with supply chain on potential cost reduction programs.\n\n * Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.\n\n * Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.\n\nCandidate Profile:\n\n * Demonstrable experience of programming complex (Automotive or Aerospace) components using a CAD/CAM system, ideally NX.\n\n * Apprentice trained, and achieved a relevant engineering qualification (HNC or higher).\n\n * Demonstrable experience in fixture design with a strong understanding of GD&T.\n\n * A logical approach to problem solving, root cause analysis and countermeasure.\n\n * Strong planning and organization skills, embracing change.\n\n * Experience in the use of Vericut & SAP ERP system would be advantageous.\n\nIf you feel you are the right candidate for the role, apply now
