Senior Project Engineer
The Senior Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager and Superintended in providing technical engineering information, monitoring project budget and perform tasks related to the collection of cost data for Transportation, Building and Heavy Civil Roadway/Highway and Marine Construction Projects.Medium to Large heavy civil project experience ($30M+)Develop Work Plans and Procedures Responsible for RFIsComply with notice requirements such as inspections, survey staking, joint measurements with owner and/or engineer, utility locations and adjustments, testing, claims, etc.Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plan and/or specifications affects products or services Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performance.Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling.Identifying risk elements of production, materials, equipment or process that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.Assist with all schedule preparations and updates.Plan and oversee the project to ensure a timely and cost effective outcome.Project Financial Responsibilities, Preconstruction ServicesPlanning and daily execution of the construction project. Responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the project schedule,Planning, developing, coordinating and managing onsite construction engineering activities for construction projectsCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and workforce to resolve project challenges and conflictsReview Heavy Job daily reports for accuracyKnowledge with Primavera P6 Scheduling SoftwarePrepare and maintain technical submittal listDocument control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.)Ensure that goals and objectives of project are accomplished within budget parameters
