Senior Project Engineer

Due to buoyant conditions and a strong demand across mining, mineral processing and energy – the outlook in 2023/24 is strong and as such we are seeking Senior Project Engineers to join our Engineering Construction division. With various major multi-disciplinary projects on the horizon we are seeking high calibre Engineers who will be involved in site based FIFO opportunities in SA. The role of Senior Project Engineer will provide engineering services and project management support for assigned projects; provide advice and support for staff involved on the project/contract; and coach and mentor less experienced engineering staff. Key responsibilities include: Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety and quality Manage the interface between the engineering and project delivery teams to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules and contract Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required Lead the procurement and work pack development for the project Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to other members of the Engineering team Compile schedule, cost, progress and forecast reports for the project; ensuring all schedule reporting requirements are met Provide support to the project team and implement best practice on the project Why Us? What you will bring: Extensive experience in Project Engineering on large-scale resources construction projects for similar companies Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering A methodical approach, high attention to detail and take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of own work Be delivery focused, with a high level of self-motivation and drive to support the project in delivering to a tight schedule Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levelsProof of right to work in Australia Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, and we live by our promise:The safe way is the only way.
