Senior Project Engineer

Job Description

On the back of multiple successes within our growing Major Projects division, we currently have an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team.

The role of the Senior Project Engineer is to support and report to the Project Engineering Manager in the implementation and delivery of secured process sector projects.

Your duties will include ensuring that the engineering design solution for the work scope assigned to you is delivered to meet the project’s requirements & schedule milestones.

The Engineer is responsible for coordinating and expediting the assigned engineering work scope to facilitate timely, efficient procurement, manufacture, fabrication construction and commissioning of the project in accordance with the contract.

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring the assigned work scope is delivered to budget and schedule targets and complies technically with Project requirements and should have strong leadership, motivational and organisational skills and, under guidance of the Project Engineering Manager, should be able to act independently on the delivery of the project design matters.

As our new Engineer, you must have a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with other engineers and stakeholders. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also essential. You will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, with 5+ years of experience in engineering, preferably in the oil and gas, power, chemical or similarly regulated industry, experience with Certification Authorities will be beneficial.

Our preferred candidate will have a technical background in Process Plant projects with a track record in role of Project Engineering of multi-discipline pharmaceuticals /process sector projects.
