Senior Project Engineer

For one of our clients, a prominent engineering and EPC services company, we are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer. This is a permanent position based in the beautiful city of Genoa, Italy. We are looking for a dedicated project engineer who is eager to support our client while also taking advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the stunning Italian landscapes. The role: As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be accountable for the development of the engineering design activities (i.e., conceptual, basic, detailed, construction design stages) of a specific project by coordinating the contribution of all the engineering disciplines involved. You will ensure that all project requirements and the relevant/applicable technical/nuclear standards are met while adhering to budgets, schedules, and quality. Key Responsibilities: Support the Project Manager in the technical interface with the Customer and with the Safety Authorities. Support the Project Manager in preparing the project engineering documentation plans and operating budgets, establishing the applicable efficiency standards with the managers of the different Engineering Disciplines involved in the project. Assure and control the technical inputs availability and clearness for the disciplines involved in the project for all the design phases by managing the internal technical interfaces. Monitor the implementation of the technical solutions agreed upon with the managers of the Disciplines involved. Perform overall control of the assigned engineering projects (on-budget, on schedule, on-quality) and report regularly about project status to the Company’s and Client stakeholders. Monitor compliance to technical/nuclear applicable codes, to the Company’s business procedures indicated in the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management System and in the Organizational Model Interact daily with the Clients as technical single point of contact, to timely interpret expectations (comments to engineering docs), needs, design changes and properly managing the project technical risks and opportunities by cooperating and communicating effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide the necessary assistance and technical support to set-up any possible amendments and/or claims. Support the on-site construction/installation and commissioning activities. Coordinate/Supervise multi-disciplinary working groups and subs. Identify and manage the internal & external interfaces (stakeholders within the project delivery framework). Required Skills and Experience: Education: MSc degree in Nuclear Engineering Good knowledge of English language (spoken and written, fluent) Professional experience: significant years’ experience in Project Engineering in nuclear companies or in highly regulated industrial sectors Basic competences: Experience in System Engineering (experience in design of plant fluid systems is preferable) Knowledge in Project Management methods and tools, including ability to use software for collaboration Knowledge of digital methods applied to design process and documentation archiving such as BIM and/or PDM/PLM software Knowledge of nuclear-specific codes and standards for safety application (e.g., ASME Sect III, RCC-M, IEEE 1E harsh and mild environment and CGD programs, RCC-E K1-K2-K3 levels, IEC) including development of environmental and/or seismic qualification programs Knowledge of the relevant electrical and mechanical EU Directives (e.g., LV, EMC, Machinery, ATEX, PED, Cybersecurity) Knowledge of the main mechanical and electrical international norms and standards Experience in supporting on-site works including construction and commissioning documentation Julija Paulauskaite #J-18808-Ljbffr
