Senior Project Engineer
Location: Newell Highway, between Narrabri and Moree
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team for the Narrabri to Moree Project.
This project involves the upgrade of 27.3km of the Newell Highway, focusing on earthworks, heavy duty pavement, culverts, utilities, lighting upgrades, and public rest areas. The project commenced in June 2022 and is expected to be completed by 2024. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing various aspects of the project.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise and leadership in the planning, design, and execution of the project
Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure project objectives are met
Manage and supervise a team of engineers and site staff
Monitor project progress, quality, and budget, and implement corrective measures as necessary
Review and approve project documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines
Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may affect project delivery
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment among project team members
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Extensive experience in civil construction projects, preferably with a focus on road infrastructure
Proven track record in managing and delivering projects within budget and schedule
Strong technical knowledge in areas such as earthworks, pavement design, and utilities
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
Familiarity with project management software and tools
