Glades Talent is working with a leading construction firm to identify a highly skilled Senior Project Manager.
Position: Senior Project Manager
Reports To: General Manager/Operations Manager
Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will oversee day-to-day onsite operations for civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role involves procurement, scheduling, and directing work crews, subcontractors, and materials to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The Senior Project Manager will also serve as a key liaison with stakeholders, providing updates and resolving project-related challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret proposals, estimates, plans, specifications, and permits.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and time requirements for each project.
- Coordinate with estimators, superintendents, and operations teams to manage materials, internal crews, and subcontractors.
- Maintain continuous communication with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Work closely with engineers, environmental teams, owners, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ensure timely, proper, and safe operation of equipment in collaboration with superintendents.
- Maintain detailed project records and documentation.
- Prepare monthly pay estimates and review/approve invoices.
- Develop and manage project schedules and work orders.
- Meet with owners and professionals as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards and budget adherence.
- Report injuries and equipment damage promptly to management.
- Work with state and local inspectors to ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required: Extensive experience managing civil sitework projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in computers, MS Office, and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours, including some weekends.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field OR at least five years of equivalent experience.
- Solid understanding of safety guidelines and industry best practices.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Expertise in project scope, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, and material procurement.
- Proven leadership ability to guide teams and collaborate effectively.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, handling materials, and reaching.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Ability to lift or move up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close, distance, , peripheral, and depth perception.
