Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to be based in New York, NY. Will Operate as a Construction Manager will manage the day-to-day activities of the construction project.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide overall construction management and administration services for a design-build project during design and construction phases.

  • Manage the construction management staff which will include inspectors, schedulers, estimators, site safety, and document controls. Also provide coordination with design team, program controls team, community outreach team, and other stakeholders.

  • Manage and apply program level policies and procedures to the specific project.

  • Manage client-CM contract through management of scope, budget, and staff. Maintain good working relationship and close interface with client.

  • Ensure all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through management and oversight of the construction contractor.

  • Review and/or approve contractors project schedules, payments, budget projections.

  • Review contractor request for change order.

  • Working with the project team, develop project reports documenting progress, budget, and issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualfications:

  • BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Must be a US Citizen- Due to the nature of the work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering and/or construction management degree.

  • Fifteen or more years overall experience, five or more years of responsible in charge experience, in construction or project management.

  • Experience working with New York City public agencies.

  • Experience in traditional and alternate project delivery methods; design-build, GMP.

  • Experience with New York City high-rise construction.

  • Relocation is not available

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $116,000 - $200,000.
