Senior Project Planner

A hugely successful Global Infrastructure Consultancy actively needs an experienced Senior Project Planners to support their Client Management Team to deliver major airports infrastructure projects.



The position is home based, with time spent with the Client on site weekly.



As a skilled P6 user, with experience of delivering substantial investment projects in the infrastructure, you will be an integral part of the Clients’ Programme and Project Management team, you will play a key role in providing a full planning service, along with managing schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities.



There are a combination of pre-DCO activities taking place, requiring dedicated support and input, as well as a number of high value, complex projects across the estate, all in a live working environment.



You will provide technical support and guidance to the Client and the broader team, with responsibility for major or complex projects.



As the owner of the Master Schedule for critical projects, you will develop, maintain and monitor a robust deliver schedule for various work activities, all with clear milestones, and work alongside colleagues to coordinate the sequence of a variety of projects in a very busy working environment.



In addition, you will identify critical activities and provide updates as required.



Qualifications & Experience:



Educated to Degree level or equivalent in construction



Skilled Primavera and Excel user



Experience of planning infrastructure projects in a live environment



Experience in performing quantity take-offs, statistical analysis



Have an understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts (NEC), construction and start-up work processes



Demonstrable experience of working in a major infrastructure project in a similar industry and/or to working in a matrix and dispersed team
