THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE POSITION

Senior Quality Inspector

A well-established aerospace manufacturing company in Phoenix is looking for an experienced Inspector to perform first piece, in process and final inspections.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Source delegation/Self Release to identify process and documentation accompanies the product shipment to review packing slips, C of C’s per PO requirements, validating part number, part revision, and quantities are correct. (Copies may include DIP’S, FAIR’S, material and special process Certs.)

Qualified Final Inspector to ensure all customers' requirements have been met.

Assure copies of required traceability forms are created and properly filled out

Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections and record the results using Net Inspect and AS9102 Rec. C form

Perform in process inspections and final inspections visually and dimensionally on a variety of metal and plastic parts

Oversee calibration system

Ability to review, edit and generate inspection reports

Read and comprehend written documents such as work instructions, specifications and blue prints

Knowledge of proper inspection techniques required to obtain accurate measurements

Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and manufacturing outlines and be able to use inspection tools required to verify parts to meet customer requirements as well as CMM and comparator instruments

Ability to support business needs

Knowledge and Experience Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 4 years previous inspection experience required; Aerospace experience required. Honeywell Product/Specification .

Must be able to accurately use and read measuring tools such as comparators, micrometers, calipers, indicators and gages.

Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning& Tolerancing)

Understanding of quality systems requirements (AS 9100, ISO9001 etc.)

Good interpersonal and verbal/ written skills

Monday – Friday       7:00am – 3:30pm

Full time    40 hours a week
