Designed to enhance connectivity, reduce traffic congestion, and promote eco-friendly transportation, this project marks a significant step towards achieving Toronto's vision of a more accessible and sustainable urban future.Who are we looking for?We are seeking a BIM / Estimating Professional, a pivotal role in this progressive change.Located in any of our GTA offices (Toronto, Waterloo, Markham, Mississauga or Whitby) and reporting to the Rail BGL, this unique position merges the expertise of 3D BIM coordination with the precision of quantity estimation. Your role will be instrumental in supporting our major infrastructure projects.In the problem solving business, it helps to be restlessly curious to deliver community change.Working with an energetic and high performing technical team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:Developing and maintaining material take offs utilizing Building Information Models (BIM) for rail projects, ensuring adherence to high standards and project specifications. Extracting and transforming comprehensive element quantities to facilitate production of cost and quantity estimates across various project phases including design development and execution. Aligning quantity estimates with project scope, schedule, and execution strategies. Engaging in benchmarking and applying historical data What you will bring to the team: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field. Significant experience in BIM modeling and cost estimation, ideally over 10 years. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and various estimating software. Exceptional attention to detail, with strong numerical and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
