Job Description
Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a leading, well-known groundworks contractor based in the East Midlands. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee a large residential groundworks project, 500+ units.\n\nDuties for the Senior Quantity Surveyor will include but not be limited to the following: \n\nComplete monthly applications for payment accurately and in a timely manner.\nMonitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare cost reports in line with valuation processes.\nCompile monthly forecasts with the production team to ensure the successful commercial performance\nControl costs in accordance with budget\nProcure subcontractor and supplier packages, negotiate contracts, and manage subcontractor accounts.\nConduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality and compliance with contractual requirements.\nEnsure the project team has all of the latest information including drawings and details of tender allowances.\nMaintain organized project records, including contracts, invoices and correspondence.\nMentor and support junior quantity surveyors or team members as required.\nEstablish and maintain strong working relationships with the clientExperience Required:\n\nExperience in residential or groundworks\nBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field\nExperience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor\nProficiency in construction software\nExcellent communication and negotiation skills\nAbility to work independently, manage a large project, and meet deadlines\nProfessional accreditation as a Quantity Surveyor (MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent) is \n What's in it for you?\n\nCompetitive basic salary\nAnnual bonus (paid twice per year)\nCompany car, car allowance\nHealthcare\nCompetitive contribution to pension\nLife assurance\nEmployee rewards portal with many more benefitsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values their employees and offers great career progression opportunities.
