Senior Quantity Surveyor\nMidlands\nUp to £72,000 plus company package\n\nWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK's largest contractors working on HS2. This Senior Quantity Surveyor role is working as part of the large packages of heavy civils and structures work. The business is a leader in civil engineering and infrastructure sector.\n\nThis Senior Quantity Surveyor role will be working as part of the commercial team and offers great career changing opportunites.

This scheme will be over 5 years initially, with a strong orderbook within the region. The role will be working on major structures and technical elements. Following on from this scheme they will \n\nRole Purpose:\n\nOur client is looking for candidates with experience in managing all commercial aspects of the scheme.\n \nDuties:\n•\tMeasure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures.\n•\tMeasure & interpret specifications & drawings.\n•\tTranslate measurement from drawings and Specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates if required.\n•\tReview weekly, monthly, section programmes of works.\n•\tPlan commercial activities to meet monthly timescales.\n•\tCollation of Cost and Value Information.\n•\tPreparation of Cost reconciliation statements.\n•\tSubmission and Agreement of Adjustment Events with Client.\n•\tCollect information required to specify procurement requirements.\n•\tUnderstand the steps / documentation required.\n•\tAssist Procurement function where required.\n•\tCollation of cost and value information.\n•\tManagement of Sub Contractors Accounts.\n\nExperience:\n•\tBSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent.\n•\tExperience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor in the civil engineering.\n\nRewards:\n•\tUp to £72,000 basic salary DOE\n•\tCompany car / allowance\n•\tPension, healthcare and other benefits\n•\tHybrid Working\n•\tLodge\n\nTo express your interest please contact Ben Symonds at Kenton Black Birmingham, or simply apply to the role
