Andover - 17th Century Estate – Major Refurbishment - £90M

Project – Refurbishment of Listed Manor House consisting of New Nightclub, Traditional Pub, Cinema and Wellness Centre - £12M

Salary upto £75,000 + Car Allowance £5,000 + 23 Days Holiday + Pension

Blaymires Recruitment is representing a highly respected contractor who is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be site based on a major 17th Century estate refurbishment, located near Andover with a total project cost of £90M.

The chosen Senior Quantity Surveyor will have a rare opportunity to commercially manage the project costs of a major refurbishment of a 250 year old Manor House, consisting of a new nightclub, traditional pub, cinema and wellness centre with a project value of £12 Million.

The company will consider either a motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor or Senior Project Surveyor who has Main Contracting experience. You will have large new build and refurbishment experience with a good understanding of JCT form of contracts.

Responsibilities:

* Procurement.

* Planning.

* Reporting.

* Material purchasing.

* Valuations.

* Variations.

* Sub-contract compliance.

* Final Accounts.

Knowledge /Skills

* HNC in Construction or relevant Degree level qualification.

* Knowledge of private high-end residential building contracting would be an advantage.

* You will have a good technical understanding of traditional and modern building methods.

* You will have large construction project experience, in excess of £5M.

* Good working knowledge of MS Office – Intermediate level of Excel.

* Able to write clear and precise communications which might include detailed and complex figures, calculations, and specific building information.

* Strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn construction management IT packages.

* A practical, logical and methodical approach to thinking and problem solving.

* Confident in dealing directly with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Clients, and Subcontractors.
